Nature Notes: Little Petroglyph Canyon

My sister and I recently had the opportunity to visit Little Petroglyph Canyon in the Coso Mountains. Our trip preparation included finding an escorted tour and gaining clearance for entry to the China Lake Naval Base.
Many questions surfaced as we explored rock panels crowded with bighorn sheep, medicine bags, shaman and geometric shapes. Alexis and I agreed that a return trip would be a great way to learn more about these fascinating stories.
