Dear friends,The old DVTalk campsite served us well since 2001. Over time, however, our one-of a-kind, custom programmed message board has become archaic and cumbersome, and it lacks the standard features of other, more contemporary message boards. Therefore, the time has come to move DVTalk to a more modern, better equipped campsite. All visitors wishing to post must register. wish I was in better shape to spend time at the cabin and my friend from Independence could do a lot of work on it(retired)everyday is the week end. The last time I was there was 2 years ago the road reminded me of The Ho Chi Minh trail in the 60's . Most likely will not see it again. State Linor Gold what is good cabin ti visit and Gold Point. Joe

Thanks for the update. It would be a shame to see the roof fail.

It been awhile since I was there in August, but now I guess I will say something here. The roof on the front of the cabin is failing. I put some nails in it, but had no proper tools with me. Just so you know, if you know who can fix that. The rock walls could use more help too, I spent an hour or two fixing what I could. Also a magnet to pick up all the nails in the road might help keep em out of your tires, I picked up two or three handfuls.
Loved the two very hot days I was there, just so nice, saw no one else. Perfect.
