He is a middle manager. I went in the Visitor Center at Furnace Creek a week ago and he could not even tell me about Johnson Canyon. He did not know about the length of the road or what Hungry Bill's Ranch was. I've been there, I just wanted to know the road condition. Some woman ranger with short hair later told me he is a GS-12! I've been visiting Death Valley for 22 years now and want more out of my tax dollars! I guess they got rid of all the good rangers. What on Earth is an assistant interpreter do? Hold the laser pointer for his boss?
