Routes around Trona...

Is there a network of 4x4 routes that go from Trona Pinnacles, around the east side of Searles Lake, to the foot of the Slate Range (Gold Bottom Mines, Manly Pass), without crossing into military land? Maps show major routes entering NWC; my experience is that when this happens, routes develop along the fenceline. Is that the case along the east shore of Searles Lake?
We are trying to assemble a route from Mojave to Panamint Springs without traveling on paved roads and this stretch is the only section I'm having trouble with.
