Dear friends,The old DVTalk campsite served us well since 2001. Over time, however, our one-of a-kind, custom programmed message board has become archaic and cumbersome, and it lacks the standard features of other, more contemporary message boards. The growing popularity of many locations in the back country, aided by inaccurate or insufficient descriptions of the potential difficulties getting there is causing much of these issues. In addition, it seems a large number of inexperienced folks are assuming that if one person made it somewhere, they can too, regardless of the difference in equipment, skill and preparedness.

a friend from Lone Pine just told some people go stranded on SV road for 2 days. Apparently they tried to get to the HS driving a Honda Civic . Spent the night. What are people thinking these days .Apparently they made it out safe not sure how or who saved them most likely Millers made some money.
