A group of use spend April 2 through the 11th in Panamint valley, camping at Panamint Springs. 5 jeeps and 9 adults. We visited the Minnietta Mine cabin, it was in good condition. There was a couple staying there, who were nice enough to let us look around, as part of our group had never been there. Next was the Charcoal Kilns, the road up was a little beat up, it was cold although the snow line was around 500 feet higher up. The following day we went up Golar Canyon to the Barker Ranch, the trail was in good shape, I have seen it much worse. Then over Mengel Pass, which was a little rougher then previous trips, especially the north side near the top. Both the cabins were in good condition, Striped Butte was gorgeous. We went down Warm Springs Rd, stopped at the camp to look around. Went out on West side Rd and back to camp. Some of our party went home the next day. We went to Surprise Canyon, I had never driven up there, it was interesting. There was a very large gathering of people near Indian Ranch Rd on Surprise Canyon Rd, for a Passover Celebration. We also went up Pleasant Canyon, as far as World Beater Cabin. Pleasant Canyon had a little water running. We spent Easter in Camp had a group dinner with the six of us remaining. Panamint Springs was crowed off and on. One thing that was different to me was all the women that were camping together, some in groups of 4-5 and some single, also many from the midwest states. Got a couple photos of the Jets flying over Panamint Valley, saw some Donkey's in camp and also on the trail. We did not get the time to go to the Racetrack as I was concerned Hunter Mt trail would be snowed over. I have some videos, I will post on YouTube here www.youtube.com/@kcid51/videos
