Never have heard of such a bad experience as yours with the Mud Terrains. Know too many folks who have had just the opposite luck with the tire.

I am on my third set on the FJ 40 and they have been flawless. 30K is about right before they are down enough to become a little less dependable on road/off road for my blood.

Think I did pick up a nail once at the head of South Park at Rader's and waited til Furnace Creek to take it out. And that was after going through Goler/Butte/Warm Spring without a problem.

Thanks for the link to the photos. Great shots of the trip. Hope you made the loop. If not, do it next time. And of course, do it without the running boards this time. They belong at home for such trails.
