It seems to me that what the "nice" people want offer is this: "You are welcome to your opinion, as long as it coincides with my opinion". My opinions are occasionally categorized as negative, narrow-minded or hateful. But - in my opinion - it would be much less of a world if only the opinions of the "nice people" were allowed to be heard, just as it would detract from life to hear only the opinions of the off-kilter crowd.
I have always loved the desert because there was no requirement that I be politically correct when I traveled north of Mojave, or east of Barstow. (NOTE - this doesnt infer the right to litter, burn, shoot up, destroy or abuse)
Seems like the nice crowd DO want this discussion board to be a politically correct, "nice" place to visit. And that to me is not a true reflection of what the desert is about. So hey Sharon - think I will join you...just for a different reason.
