Are you crazy to visit in June? No. But the four young kids?!? YOW! Just kidding...
I say sunset at Zabriski Point, then motor over to one of the campgrounds in Furnace Creek for the night (make reservations!) For sunrise, well, that's too early for me, so I'll rely on others for that.
OR, try both Sunset and sunrise at Panamint Springs campground. I can attest to magnificant sunsets against the opposing Panamint Butte. I'm sure sunrise is great there, too, but again, too early for me.
