The other antennas above the Westend plant of IMC Chemical Co. is indeed company communications. The Lake department radio frequency requires a high point to beam radio signal into Ridgecrest since the company's water wells, as well as those for domestic water, are in the Indian Wells Valley (Ridgecrest).

I don't know where the Trona Railway radio repeaters/antenna are, as they need radio for the portion of the railroad route south of the Pinnacles and up to Searles Station, hidden behind the Spangler Hills; as well as signal in the Salt Wells Valley (between Searles and Indian Wells), where the company vehicles often run from Trona to Searles.

I suspect that Verizon will also have to construct one or more towers to beam signal from their repeater at the White Star Mine south of Ridgecrest over to Searles Valley.

And, as others have expressed, I certainly hope they do indeed provide for signal further north into Panamint and possibly into Death Valley.
