You confirmed what I figured - a DUSa type format has to be expensive or all boards would be using them. I've only been to Death Valley, twice in my lifetime, but have read Manly's book Death Valley in 49 and the one by Leroy Johnson who frequents the boards here. Along with the story of the Donner Party, Manly's story is one of my favorites. I love pioneer survival stories! I don't have as much to offer to this board as the rest of you do, as my area of expertise is more Owen's Valley, Eastern and Southern Sierras. But I love to hear about everyone's DV experiences, and hope to find time from regular tours to get out there again someday!
