Nevada Test Site Fallout

As a lurker here, I'm sorry to spring in with such an obtuse post, but did anybody see the recently-released studies by the CDC and the National Cancer Institute regarding fallout from nuclear testing at the Nevada Test Site and globally during the 50s and early 60s? Fallout and exposure maps from the study/report have been posted at the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research web site (http://www.ieer.org/offdocs/index.html) free to download and suitable for framing ;-)

I can't help but notice that fallout levels of the highest concentrations from the NTS extend right up to, but not beyond, the Death Valley NP border. At the DV park boundary/Nevada-California border, concentrations go magically from highest to lowest. As a frequent visitor to the park for over 30 years, I would like to think that this is just my good fortune, or at worst my good dumb luck, but it appears more likely that the NPS and/or Forrestry Service (back in the goold ol' Nat'l Monument days) perhaps simply did not participate in the study.

Does anyone out there know of any studies/resources on the environmental impact of nuclear testing at the NTS on the DV national park area? This has long been a nagging curiousity of mine, and I would be much obliged for any information.
