Location of photo?

was taken at the Papoose Flat in the White-Inyo
Mountains. Is that correct?

I went there several years ago on a USC geology
field trip, and we had to have a special permit
to drive to the Flat, because of an ongoing survey
of Native American artifacts. Does anyone know
if this is still the case?
