DVNM did not grade the whole of Titus or at least it was out of repair every time I went - way out. We spent hours helping some European tourists get a rental Buick get through once. I think it is stupid to grade all of Titus. It spoils the 4x4 experience and in rainy season creates the false expectation of a safe road for a highway vehicle. The grading increases erosion of the canyon. DVNM management was far better than the NPS crew. At least that is my opinion.
