Mazourka Canyon

I know this is not Death Valley, but hey its only a few miles west of the Park. :-) I looking for some road info. about the road up Mazourka Canyon from Independence to DV road. I know its mainly 2X all the way to the towers up on the peak. Does anyone know if I can go all the way from the peak to Harkless Flat, then to the Devils Gate on Death Valley Road. I mainly want to know if the road goes thru. If it looks bad I'll turn around, being I will be Solo. I will be in the area, mid Sept. I think this is my first post to this site, but I have been lurking for a while. Thanks to who ever set it up.
