I haven't done it myself, but I know that it's
covered in a fair amount of detail in at least
one recent book: Michel Digonnet's "Hiking Death
Valley". I think it's also in Andy Zdon's "Desert
Summits".

I hope to do some hiking on the Steel Pass side
of the Last Chance Range
either over Xmas or Spring break. Whether or not
I'll be able to climb to Dry Mtn from that side
looks questionable, but I'll post a trip report.
