One thing I remember is that when I lived in DVNP, I used to look forward to going the Mojave National "Preserve" to go camping and exploring because it WASN'T a National Park: Fewer restrictions, much more freedom, hardly any pesky, annoying, ticket-dispensing Rangers! Tell me the Saline Valley is better off being part of The Park?!?! I don't think comments such as mine and others are politically motivated, just reality motivated!
