I don't think it demonstrates the difference between a liberal and a conservative -rather between stupidity and commonsense. I was there that day and anybody who saw those clouds building should have had enough common sense to get the heck to safer ground. I was in Golden Canyon at about 330 and hightailed it. He should be talking to his insurance company not Caltrans.
