Part of the Rockford Files pilot was filed in Victorville. Boy, has the Victor Valley grown! I was raised between Apple Valley and Lucerne Valley, 1954-1974. Small towns then. Phelan was only a junction gas station and Rockin' K bar, a motorcyle hangout. Lots of empty space in towns and between towns. Now nearly a million people there. Glad I left in '74 and went north to the eastern Sierra Nevada and Owens Valley and have stayed since.
