Ghost Riders in the Sky was written in the 1940's
at Stovepipe Wells by a Park Ranger named Stan
Jones. Stan would sit on the porch at Stovepipe
Well and see the clouds forming in the sky and
swear he could see those Ghost Riders in the Sky.
It was first recorded By Burl Ives and then
Vaughn Monroe and then Bob Nolan and the Sons
of the Pioneers
