Yes, for many years there used to be a sign. However, it was removed. Although we understand that there were witnesses to the removal, it is not certain that it was done officially.
It is our understanding that there is no longer any sign advising of the clothing optional practice. I believe the burdon of information on this matter, however, falls on the AAA not the Park Service. All we need are more signs in DVNP...
However, I have not been to the springs since the sign was reported removed so I can't report for sure if it has been replaced, as Virginia mentions a sign being covered up by a towel.
