you're right sir. we we're on a 6 day trip from hunter mt. to the racetrack, down lippencott and out saline valley north. we stopped off to have lunch at the lost burro mine in hidden valley. we hiked up the canyon to explore the large structure on the hill and poke around the tunnels and tailings. it was a fairly easy hike up the canyon to see the next prospect hole and before you know it you're on the ridgeline with a great view. the drive up to the lost burro mine takes care of lots of elevation gain for you.
