A good rule of thumb when traveling the Mojave Road is to be prepared for anything. We've traveled the Mojave Road and the East Mojave Heritage Trail (BW:Before Wilderness) many times and have encountered everything.

Camped one night in Willow Wash a few miles out from Baker, Sat around a fire on a beautiful moonlit night and woke up the next morning to blowing snow.

We just happened to be in Baker, too, on Thanksgiving when the thermometer blew down. Boy, that was a windy weekend. Couldn't even sleep in the tent...it was flat!

However for every day of bad weather there have been 10 of perfect weather....we do avoid late summer, though.
