I've driven the road many times. Conditions are pretty constant. EXCEPT Soda dry lake. Cursious said if it appears wet don't try it. I'll only add that in December the lake may appear dry, and most likely it will be. BUT, check it first. I've seen it where the top layer is completely dry, and 1/8" under is mud city! Also, what ever is in that mud really likes to eat metal - fast. If you have the time you also might like to stop by Goff's school house. That's where Dennis Casebier lives. Well worth the visit.
