May 7th to 14th visit

Hi everyone,
only Been back a week & I'm already planning my next visit.
I drove into DV from Shoshone, on through green water valley with a side trip down gold valley. On the Saturday I Walked to Darwin falls, then I Drove to Darwin by the back road with a side trip to China Garden (what a great place). Next day I did an early morning hike to panamint dunes then I drove down to the racetrack & stayed the night at the small campsite at the southern end (warning the portaloo at the campsite is to be avoided at all costs). I left racetrack valley through hidden valley & down hunter mountain (no lippencott this year), I was going to spend the night somewhere in hidden valley but there was a really bad dust storm so I spent the night at china gardens (those mules are noisy buggers). Next I went to the normal tourist spots (badwater, dantes view, and zabriske point. Wednesday I took a slow drive & explore through Titus canyon. Thursday I drove through saline valley. The roads were all in reasonable condition, I wouldn't want to try Hunter mountain when its wet in a rental with street tyres!
I spent all the nights, apart from the nights I've mentioned, at PSR & I had a great time. If finances allow I hope to have another visit in sept/oct, so if you see a crazy brit in a rental 4x4 in the backcountry say Hi
