Mount Perry question

Has anyone hiked from Dante's View to Mount Perry? We tried this hike at the end of April. We hit our turnaround time about 1/2 mile short of the summit. The trail looked like it became a boulder scramble from that point. Does anyone know if the trail continues to the summit or is it all scrambling? Thanks for any help!
