I can't place the hole that they are talking about in the story as being near Panamint City. The description just doesn't match any that I have found. But then again I find something new every time I'm up there.
Maybe with the First-Aid sign on the Hilton, They mistook it for a Ranger station.
I sent out a few e-mails to some people I know in Trona, Maybe they know more about this story.
Regardless, I'm glad this story had a happy ending.
