Sounds like you had a Great Time! (and memerable one at that). I did Chicken rock last year (not in my F350 though) before I knew it was chicken Rock. I guesss I had the advantage of ignorance.

Briggs is a great place, isn't it. Next time, try the Minnietta Mine / Cabin. I have two boys also (12 & 14)and there was alot more to explorev (no water there, though).

How was the rest of your trip down Pleasant Canyon? Any Picture?
