Dear Pam, I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, bacause I think it's really neat what you're doing, but at some point you need to do some research on Park policy, if you already haven't. I don't claim to know any specific regulations, but generally I don't think you can set up shop and run business in the Park. Several years ago a group of friends and I drove a Safari vehicle to Death Valley. It was a Zebra stripped flatbed 4x4 truck with open air bench seating, which by the way was street legal. Needless to say we had a ball, and also attracted some attention from some "tourists". Apparently someone thought we were giving tours and went to the Ranger station to see where to sign up. This is where all hell broke loose. The Ranger read us the riot act accusing us of attempting to operate tours in the Park. He would not accept the fact that we were just tourists also. By the next morning the Ranger had summoned the Highway Patrol who was waiting for us outside our room at Stove Pipe Wells. The CHP, with the grinning Ranger in tow proceeded to perform a vehicle inspection on my parked Zebra truck. He, of course, came up with some B.S. infractions and convinced us to move on. It would be my guess that your Constitutional right to assemble would allow you to take whomever you choose with you on an excursion, however if any money is changing hands in the Valley you might have problems. However it happens I wish you the best of luck in your adventure. Farmer Dean
