36 CFR §2.4 – WEAPONS, TRAPS, AND NETS
Pursuant to 2.4(d)(2), persons in charge of pack trains or saddle horses may carry one firearm per group without a permit, provided that the weapon is unloaded. The ammunition must be kept separate from the weapon.
