Several years ago on a trek from Oregon to So-Cal, our motorhome started running on the rather warm side. Before we started back North, I fabricated a water mist system that sprays a fine mist of water across the front of the radiator. The water tank and pump in the coach serve as a source and its fed from the kitchen faucet via Tygon (sp?) tubing through the firewall to a series of misting nozzles. Commercial units are available on the market to the tune of $300.00 or so. I made mine for around $20.00 with the help of Ace Hardware in Long Beach. Between that and running the heater, I was able to drop the engine temps. by a good 30 degrees. I've since remedied the high temp. problem, but left the system in place as a back up. Hope this helps.
