I frequent another web site that is devoted to Willys (Jeeps)vehicles. The subject of cooling comes up rather often. The consensus is, unless the thermostat is inoperative, do NOT remove it. The water flow may be increased, but the radiator does not have sufficient time to cool the water before it reenters the engine.
