The ground temp might hit 135 early in May but by the middle of August I would imagine that the temp would be well above 200. Hot enough to fry an egg on a flat rock. I know, I spent a Summer at Stove Pipe Wells. Sneakers have a tendency to melt if you
take a long walk on the pavement.
