I inquired at the site about putting up a topic on these 1926 auto tour images. I even offered to do some Photoshop image work for them in exchange. Here is the answer I got from the Bancroft's curator,

The State Library has a sizeable collection of books on Death Valley as
well as photographs, photo albums, promotional material, a fine run of
Desert Magazine, etc.
