Wasn't in the Panamint's, but coming back to Ridgecrest from Big Pine, it flat rained hard from Olancha south. The Cosos were buried in a sea of blackness, well punctuated by brilliant lightning flashes going like a spark plug at high RPM. I saw the most brilliant double rainbow at Coso Junction amid pouring rain. When I got back to Ridgecrest last evening, it was obviously raining very hard from about the BLM wild horse corrals eastward. Going to work in Trona this morning saw large areas of standing water and the wash through Poison Canyon was flowing with water to about Fish Rocks.
