Posted by Dezdan on March 26, 2005 at 14:06:07: Trail Report for: Chloride City
The road coming in from Boundary Canyon (CA) was 2wd high clearance the first mile or so and then became rather rocky with 4wd and non-street tires recommend. The turnoff heading up to Chloride City was rocky with some outcroppings of bedrock exposed, nothing that should trouble a stock high clearance 4wd vehicle. Coming in from Hwy 374 (NV) the road was smooth all the way to the Chloride City turnoff with only a few wash crossings that were very easily navigable - 2wd with high clearance could easily make this road.
