Posted by Pugsly on December 07, 2002 at 15:23:26: Trail Report for: Lippencott Road Maybe the Park Service became tired of rescuing people who got stuck, or maybe they just had to make it wider so that their Hummers would make it down. Who knows? The result, however, is a road that is not the fearsome and highly exposed route that it once was. There are a few places where the trail is washed and rough, and some others with erosion eating into the trai, but this trail has been tamed. It makes for a much easier route into Northern Saline Valley than going the Hunter Mountain trail, because of the time/distance savings.
