Trail Report - 11/07/2001

Trail Report for: Titus Canyon

Titus Canyon is always a favorite of ours. On this
trip we were rewarded by sighting a total of seven
Bighorn sheep along the way. As we were starting
the drive, I kept remarking on how few tire tracks
there were on top of the blade marks. Shortly later
we came upon the first of three graders working on
the road. The last one we passed just before reaching
the mouth of the canyon. He had quite a challenge
working around some of the bends in the narrow parts
of the gorge. Because it was freshly bladed, the
road was in better than usual condition. But there
was a lot of loose sand and gravel in the wash, making
me happy that I had 4WD.
