Trail Report for: Warm Springs Canyon / Butte Valley / Goler Wash

On Monday Nov. 5th, we drove up Goler Canyon, stopping at Newman Cabin
and the Barker Ranch, then over Mengel pass. After camping near the
"Geologist" Cabin, we drove out through Butte Valley and Warm Springs
Canyon. The road in Goler Canyon was still in very good shape. The
rocky section south of Mengel pass was about the same as last spring,
but the section just north of the pass seemed slightly worse than our
last crossing. We spent the night camped on a small promontory above
Anvil Spring. The entire time we were in Butte Valley we didn't see
another person. The road out was also in good shape, high clearance
to Warm Springs and easy from there into DV.
