Dear friends,The old DVTalk campsite served us well since 2001. Over time, however, our one-of a-kind, custom programmed message board has become archaic and cumbersome, and it lacks the standard features of other, more contemporary message boards. Therefore, the time has come to move DVTalk to a more modern, better equipped campsite. All visitors wishing to post must register. If you were previously a registered user of DVTalk, we transferred your DVTalk Nickname and the email address that you used as your Login Name -- but not your password. Therefore, you must either reset your password, or register a new account Read More

Roads are getting open, but it's still pretty sloppy out there. I'd wait a while. IT won't be that long before stuff dries out.

Joe, you are right. Miller's will gladly come get you. And your checkbook. Lack of common sense does cost.

I posted a reply on that matter in a diff area please read what I had to say about going around the sign. We lost a lot of area in Black Rock Desert of Nevada because of people not obeying the road closure signs. SVJ

Just got back from Hunter Mt and lee flat area. Met a guy and his wife at Nelson cabin named Jeff great people. What ,my point was about the Inyo sign being . In Northern Nevada we had for many past years people ignoring the road CLOSED signs by the road crew. The roads got Tore up by the week end warriors from Ca leaving deep ruts and so on. So the state or country put up big gates and deep ditches so you had to stop . The thing that troubles my friends from Lone Pine and Darwin forgot Keeler is that people post the comments about chaining up and getting stuck ( Milers is happy) about their trips. He at millers said $2000 just for the call I can wait.Ps some of the roads around Lee Flat are in better shape than my drive way. ha ha GBA!!SVJ

The road out via Dedecker Canyon/Marble Bath/Eureaka Dunes is closed too..or at least it was just a few days ago.
The problem with Inyo County putting up Road Closed signs when it is passable is that people won't believe them when it really is impassable. I suspect that is what you are alluding to.

As of 2 o clock today both N and S pass roads are closed by Inyo county road dept. Not sure if the barricades will keep people out or in but guess our will have to wait. Will try again in week or so.
