I would recommend you drive over to the University of Riverside and visit their library. They have a pretty large collection of material. Cal-State San Bernardino also has some valuable information regarding interaction with settlers and miners in the Panamint Valley and Mountains. Professor Dias at Cal-State San Bernardino is also a good lead for information. I was able to do a very thoroughly report on their migration routes during as well as their interaction with the Spanish Conquistadors.
