Heard on the weather channel that Hurricane Ignacio (currently over Baja) may play havoc on our deserts later this week with intensive flash flooding.

Initial reports indicate the storm to "fizzle" out over San Diego and Imperial Counties on Thursday and Friday. This may no longer be the case.

Predications were for the hurricane to weaken over land and not over the gulf. At this time the hurricane is still over the gulf waters and not losing steam as predicated. If it does not cross over onto land in the next 24 hours, our deserts will be affected.

Hurricanes lose strength over land. Over warm waters they stay strong.

Should be an interesting weekend coming up.
