Manzanar is probably about 1.5 hours from Furnace Creek. Go west on hwy 190 to hwy 395 just north of Lone Pine. One way from Vegas to Furnace Creek is just up hwy 95 to Beatty. Then hwy 374 to Furnace Creek. You could stop at the ghost town of Rhyolite and/or drive Titus Canyon. If you come in from the south on hwy 190 you can see Ashford Mill, Badwater, Artists Palatte, and Devil's Golf Course.
