Several "old timers here in Ridgecrest have told me that there was a road from Lee Flat into Saline Valley. It was a road carved into the hill side, got wiped out in a rain storm and was never repaired. It was a shorter way into Saline Valley than the road thru the Grapevine. Just out of curiosity I have looked for it from the Lee Flat side. I found a wash which could have been it as it ends in a rather steep downer.
