Last summer I traded in my '96 Chevy S-10 4x4 pickup for a 2002 Tacoma TRD 4x4. I'm still running the stock BFG tires currently without problems so far (the truck now has 12,600 miles on it). I plan on swapping out the OEM tires in time to BFG All Terrain TA radials.

My S-10 was purchased new and the OEM tires were Goodyear Wranglers, terrible tires, nine flats and one destroyed tire in less than 10,000 miles. I replaced what was left of them with BFG All Terrain TA's at 10,000 miles. The truck was traded in with 123,000 miles and was on the second set of TA's. I had no flats whatsoever with the BFG's, even though they had their share of Great Basin rock crawling.

Now, does anyone know how much over stock size one can go without problems with tire/frame/fender clearance? With the S-10 you could only go one size. Looks to be more clearance with the Taco.
