I like the idea of talking about already publicized areas, those areas reached by paved roads and featured on the park service pamphlets. They're already visited by the crowds, so yes, there's little wrong with providing additional information about these areas. We can also use the opportunity to pass along our views on "proper" behavior in the wilderness. Further, concentrating populations at a few main sites reduces the impact on the area as a whole. How many millions of people visit Yosemite each year? Think if they were spreading their trips throughout the West. That's a hell of a lot more RV's on the back roads.

But those undiscovered (at least by the masses) jewels of the wilds? Quiete su boca! I think it no coincidence that the main defensive mechanism of animals in the wild is concealment.
