I heard this is a great site to find info on mines & related info. I am looking for information on people who have explored the Supply Mine in 29 palms. I understand a group known as Desert Drifters recently entered this shaft down to the 450' level when they encountered bad air. I have though, been "unable" to "confirm" the details of this trip.
I would love to speak to anyone who was on this trip or other trips in the Supply mine that could provide "detailed" information. I recently entered the main shaft down to the 100' level and found conditions less than desriable, during a period 18-22 years ago I dropped this mine with an alitimeter to the 1250' level w/o
incident atotal of 8 times. I especially need informaion on routes and safety conditions.
Photo's would be great too. I'm looking into doing a full survey and study of this mine which is probally the deepest mine in the 29 Palms Area. I am also inquiring about "any" information on other mine surveys who are involved with closing or gating entrances of mines other than those done by the National Park Service.
I am an avid caver with 22 years experience in the underground. Thank You in advance for a reply Doug
