I echo Rand's post. The west side is usually clear, relative to the east side, which is shaded quite a bit this time of year retains more snow. A dry road on the west can be an easy 12 inches right below the pass on the east. Plus it is very steep at this point. The snow will peter out quickly IMHO. Check out the Burgess Mine if the road from Gordo is open...This spur road is even higher, with more shade than the east side of Gordo, but the views are AWESOME
