I guess you remember those 'where the hell is bullhead' bumper stickers? I camped all along the river between Needless and Bullhead one winter. I was in the middle of a particularly nasty divorce. It was just me and my 'hardly dangerous' motorcycle out there. That was before there was that town across the river. Ate a lot of trout that winter. I guess that would be a resourse violation. Oh, well. I didn't have you pegged as a jackass. I get the impression that you are very capable when it comes to deep desert stuff. The thing is, if you are not recognized as a local, you will draw the attention of the LE/EMS folks. That's where the draw on the local resource comes in. How are we holding up? The city kids who work here are spooked. They are the ones who depend on the concession for all their needs. Many of them have only the clothes they were wearing at the time as their only possessions. However, their needs are being met quite well, as Xanterra is supplying them with rooms, food, and water. The ones who are out of work are not getting paid, however. The Natural History people,(different enterprise not related to the concession)are getting paid. Kudos to Mr. Blacker. All of us desert rats are doing fine. We have our own food and water supplies laid in just for times like these. Thank you for your concern. We do have water now. I didn't expect to see that for a few more daze... A superlative effort on the part of the NPS for that feat. It's been a pleasure meeting you, Bigfoot. You would be welcome in my camp anytime. BTW, where are you? Eme @ tacton@earthlink.net if you want.
