My first trip to the springs was a detour from a planned route over Hunter Mtn Rd. Heard about the springs and headed that way instead. I ran a tire into ribbons because on the bumpy rd I c/n tell it was flat! I wandered up to the hunter canyon mine and found a stack of tires and wheels. One fit, and I used my compressor to air it up. Saved the trip. I had no flats after that, and put the wheel and tire back during a later trip. Too bad the mine stuff was hauled off.
